Dès son jeune âge, SHLOMO ALTER fait preuve de talent et pratique le dessin. Arrivé en Israël en 1948, il entreprend l`étude de la peinture, durant son cours secondaire, sous la direction de l’artiste Aaron Avni. Plus tard, durant sa carrière, il a l’opportunité d’être guidé par l’artiste de renomée internationale, Marcel Ianco, l’un des pères-fondateurs du mouvement Dada. Ses études à Paris, en 1964 et en 1969, l’ont influencé énormément à adopter un style personnel. Depuis 1968, SHLOMO ALTER a réalisé plus de 60 expositions individuelles et a participé à de nombreuses expositions de groupe en Europe, au Japon, en Australie et en Amérique du Nord. Ses tableaux ont bénéficié d’excellentes critiques à la Foire internationale des Arts de Tel Aviv (1978) et au Art Expo de New York (1987, 1989 et 1993). SHLOMO ALTER was naturally gifted and from an early age, he drew extensively. He arrived in Israel in 1948, and at the high school level, he started to study painting under the artist Aaron Avni. Later on in his career, he had the privilege to be guided by the world-renowned artist Marcel lanco, one of the founding fathers of the Dada movement. He also studied in Paris in 1964 and 1969, where he adopted many of his stylistic influences. Since 1968, Shlomo Alter has held over 60 individual exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Europe, Japan, Australia and North America. His art works have received excellent reviews at the Tel Aviv International Art Fair (1978), and at Art Expo New York (1987, 1989 and 1993).
