Artiste visuelle, multidisciplinaire d'origine grec, Margarita Lypiridou travaille principalement dans le domaine de peinture. Nee a Thessalonique, l'artiste a poursuivi ses etudes sur la peinture, le dessin, le multimedia et les arts decoratifs en Grece avant de suivre une formation sur le graphisme et la photographie en Angleterre (Londres). En 2002, elle s'installe au Canada, ou elle complete sa Baccalaureate des Beaux Arts en Arts Plastiques et Techniques de l'Estampe, et sa Maitrise en Beaux Arts a l'Universite Concordia a Montreal.


Depuis 1995, ses oeuvres seront desormais exposes en solo et en groupes en Europe ainsi qu'en Amerique du Nord. Bien que l'artiste connu a enseigner et a pratiquer l'art a Montreal, elle trouve souvent l'inspiration creatrice en songeant aux couleurs et aux images de sa Grece natale.

Margarita Lypiridou is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working primarily in painting. She was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and studied painting and drawing, applied arts and multimedia in Greece.She then continued in London, England studying graphic design and photography. In 2002 she moved to Canada where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print Media and a Master's degree of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Concordia University in Montreal.


Lypiridou had her first solo exhibition in 1995 and since then her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and North America. Although she lives, makes art and teaches in MOntreal, Canada, Margarita often finds herself back in Greece where she draws inspiration, captures images and fills canvases with color.
